How does it work:
The different zones with different speed limits are generated centrally and uploaded to an adibus FTP site.
This could be a specific road or an area.
When the bus enters the area
The speed limit is shown at the driver terminal, and the recommended speedlimit is sent to the bus via FMS/CAN data. It’s now up to the bus manufacturer to handle and implement the function, which we today have implemented together with VanHool, Solaris and Golden Dragon. And there are more to come.
When leaving the area new messages is sent with either new speedlimit or no speed limit.
